[Why we fell for Nerja]

[Personal intro by Evelijne & Bas: who you are, why this house and why in Nerja. Three or four sentences.]

Bedroom 2 with a queen-size bed, zellige headboard and two Picasso prints

Art in the house

A nod to Picasso

Pablo Picasso was born in Málaga, just along the coast. The Picasso prints in the house are a small tribute to the region’s most famous son.

The knotted gun

Non-Violence

The green poster of the knotted revolver is based on “Non-Violence” by the Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd, made in 1980 after the death of John Lennon. It has become a worldwide symbol of peace.

[Why Bas chose it.]

“Our olive tree is part of the family. If it looks a little thirsty, you are welcome to give it a drink. One day it may even reward us with an olive or two.”
